Meet The Team

Michael Earnshaw

Michael has worked in the industry for over 12 years and is fully qualified to provide independent advice. 

In addition to the standard Financial Planning Certificate, he also has Advanced Financial Planning Certificates in Personal Investment Planning and Taxation and Trusts.

Barry Fitzgerald

Barry joined the company in February 2009. He has worked in the Financial Services Sector for over 25 years, mainly as an Independent Financial Adviser.

Also married for over 25 years, he could be classed as a "tied agent"!

A keen musician in his heyday, Barry still plays guitar and keyboards and spends the rest of his time tidying up after his two teenage daughters.

Brendan Kirrane

Brendan joined the team at Earnshaw Consultants in April 2009 and brings with him over 30 years of experience in Financial Services. He is highly qualified, having attained Chartered Insurer status some years ago, and is committed to providing the best possible service to our clients.

His main areas of expertise are in Investment Management and Retirement Planning.

Marion Yates

Marion, an administrator with us since Oct 2003, has worked in the industry for over 16 years. She became involved with the intricacies of the industry so much, she actually studied for the exams and passed all three.

In the past, Marion has been known to pull a good pint and has enjoyed many stints as a bar person - a very sociable hobby whilst earning a few extra pennies for a rainy day or even to spend on Latin American Dancing. Her son, Gareth, keeps her young at heart.

Christine Beswick

Married with two daughters, Chris joined the company in June 2001 as an administrator/secretary.

She previously worked in the insurance industry for 10 years.

Hobbies – shopping and horses.

Catherine Earnshaw

Catherine has worked as Stuart’s P.A. since February 1990.

At the time she intended staying for 3 years or so but married Michael Earnshaw in 1999 and now finds herself “chained” to the desk indefinitely, on a part-time basis.

Together they have two boisterous boys: Callum and Liam.

Shirley Cherrie

Shirley started with us in June 2004 as an administrator. Her experience has been gained mainly within the fields of Personnel/Finance.

She has also worked “behind a bar pulling pints” in a club based in Sale - something she still does from time to time.

Shirley lives in Sale with her husband, has 2 adult children - both married - and three grandchildren.

Susan Gilbrook

Susan joined the company in 2003 to help out with the mountain of filing that nobody else had time to do! She can now be found with several different 'hats' on doing just about anything!

When not working part-time for Earnshaw Consultants, or looking after her young daughter and son, Susan enjoys a second career in the theatrical world.

David Gilbrook

David set up and maintains Earnshaw Consultants' IT Systems.

Married to Susan, he also pursues an artistic career.
