The Budget is behind us and we now await the Finance Bill to obtain the smaller detail. However, it is clear that we will all be helping to pay off the debts that our country has accumulated over the years.
Back in the office, Barry and his wife have returned from Mexico. Unfortunately, Barry subsequently took to his bed with a strain of swine 'flu. Stuart and Hazel have been in Majorca, where the weather wasn’t as good as it has been in recent years - perhaps they should have stayed here? However, the accommodation and company were as good as always, so they were happy. Christine is still sore from her midnight charity walk around Lymm during which she successfully raised funds for a local charity.
Otherwise, we are all continuing to enjoy the sunshine, the tennis and the football. Let's hope we last a good while in each category and that by the time I have finished writing this it is not raining, Murray hasn’t crashed out of Wimbledon and Rooney and the gang are not returning to face the ever-complimentary British press, having lost a penalty shootout!
