All is well at Stanway Buildings although we do sometimes wonder whether the phones have been disconnected as they have been rather quiet of late, with most queries being from clients wondering which banks are still safe for their deposit monies.
Markets remain frothy and we think that this will continue for some time, although we are now looking to change some clients’ portfolios to better reflect the economic conditions we anticipate over the coming months.
At the moment the little Earnshaws are down with temperatures and bugs, which seem to be doing the rounds, but thankfully they haven’t floored us workers yet. Fingers crossed!
Stuart is still enjoying the golf and Michael has just had his last little sailing stint for 2008. With sub zero temperatures forecast over the coming weeks, dry land now seems a much more attractive proposition.
With baby Sophie Gilbrook now 6 months old, Susan has returned to the office, glad of the peace and quiet!
Sadly, our cleaner, Jane, has left us after an incredible run of bad luck at home. The good news is that her daughter Joanna has joined us instead whilst her mum gets herself (and her house) back in some order.
Happily, life for everyone else here has been a little more serene and after a challenging year, I think we are all actually looking forward to Christmas.
